Offshore Turbine Services has worked with drone inspection leaders, SkySpecs, since April 2018, completing over 100o turbines (of all three blades) in 2022. The large, uncluttered deck space provides a safe area from which to operate the drone and the vessel’s low running cost ensure drone inspections are cost-effective. SkySpecs pilot, Simon Stickland, on board Captain P, recently completed 17 inspections in one 12-hour shift on Lynn & Inner Dowsing, confirming the vessel’s suitability to the task.
